I promise I don't think I'm a prophet
As my first post I figure I should address the seemingly sheer arrogance that is the title "the gospel of Tess." Like wow, ok, so Tess thinks she's writing scripture now?
Noooooo...I like to say "this is the gospel of Tess" whenever I'm sharing my own personal spiritual insights that I don't know are necessarily doctrinally sound. Which also sounds bad.
OK let's just call it this: the gospel of Matthew is Matthew's experiences and observations as he followed Christ, right? That's all this is. My experiences, observations, insights, etc. as I try to be a disciple of Christ.
I feel like as people are converted to Christ it builds in them a desire to share what they learn. Maybe that's just me, so we'll call it a tenet of the gospel of Tess. I feel compelled to share. But it doesn't make it doctrine for everybody. Just for me, Tess.
So first and foremost...I really like Jesus Christ. His gospel has brought me newfound joy as I have chosen to apply it in my life.
That's all for now. See ya next time.
